Job Description
We are currently seeking dedicated Plant Operators for a wastewater treatment facility located in Petersburg, Virginia. As a Wastewater Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and operating the plant. Your responsibilities will include cleaning the facility, loading trucks, collecting wastewater samples, and ensuring that pumps and centrifuges operate efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain the wastewater treatment facility.
- Load and unload trucks as required.
- Collect and analyze samples of wastewater.
- Monitor and ensure pumps and centrifuges are running at optimal levels.
Essential Skills
- 2-3 years of experience in construction labor.
- Experience in wastewater management and treatment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with hand and power tools.
- Any additional outdoor construction experience is a plus.

Work Environment
This role is based in a wastewater treatment facility and involves working both indoors and outdoors. Candidates must be comfortable in an industrial environment. The work schedule consists of 12-hour shifts with a rotating pattern of 4 days on, 3 days off, and then 3 days on, 4 days off. Openings are available for both the day shift (6am-6pm) and the overnight shift (6pm-6am).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of S CHESTERFLD, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
