Overview: The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for empowering data-driven decision making across the credit union. They are responsible for delivering insightful information to business leaders in a way that is both scalable and sustainable for various departments. This individual will continuously analyze member and operational trends to identify opportunities for growth, increased efficiency, and innovation.

Responsibilities:

Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Partner with internal business partners to understand the context behind data and leverage it to generate actionable insights that inform strategic decision making.
  • Collaborate with the manager to develop data-driven perspectives and recommendations for tackling a wide range of organizational challenges. This includes conducting fact-based analyses and effectively presenting results to senior leaders.
  • Design and maintain user-friendly dashboards and reports. Regularly review data for accuracy and emerging trends, while serving as a point of contact for internal inquiries.
  • Analyze competitor data and industry trends to understand the evolving competitive landscape and identify emerging data technologies.
  • Leverage data to validate crucial concepts and extract meaningful insights that inform and support business decision-making at all levels.
  • Perform other related duties as requested and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, or a highly analytical field equivalent, preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Data Science, or other quantitative disciplines
  • Hand-on experience using Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or a similar BI platform
  • Knowledge of SQL and/or R a plus
  • Proficiency in analyzing data to determine business performance and trends
  • Exceptional attention to detail and resourcefulness
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proven research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
