Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers a unique opportunity to provide Occupational Therapy (OT) services across a diverse range of educational settings, including Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, and High School levels. The role is based in Absecon, NJ, and is structured as a contract position within a school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions tailored to students' developmental and educational needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Utilize evidence-based practices to support student participation and performance in academic and functional activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in team meetings and provide guidance on OT strategies to support inclusive education.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure in New Jersey.
- Experience working within Early Childhood through High School educational settings.
- Strong understanding of child development and educational therapy practices.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet the diverse needs of students in a school environment.
