Fraser is seeking a Medical Eligibility & Prior Authorizations Coordinator to support our Revenue Cycle team with data entry, verifying insurance eligibility and obtaining prior authorization for services. People who are successful in this position will have a high attention to detail, be flexible, and are able to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment. Being a positive team player is a must.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform eligibility and benefit coverage checks for client services and enter benefit coverage information in the Electronic Health Records.
  • Analyze reports, track, and obtain the necessary authorizations for all client services.
  • Proactively and professionally communicate with providers and third party payers to obtain necessary documentation and information.
  • Accurately record status of prior authorization requests in the expected timeframe and with required documentation.
  • Respond to family’s insurance coverage and prior authorization questions and communicate authorization denials or delays when needed.
  • Perform data entry into our electronic health record.

Location, Schedule & Pay:

  • Bloomington, Minnesota / Hybrid
  • Monday through Friday, during standard business hours
  • The starting pay range for this role is between $22.00 to $24.00 an hour depending on qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma required. BA/BS/AAS in related field such as medical billing or health information preferred.
  • Experience working with medical insurance and/or prior authorizations is preferred.
  • Computer proficiency using Outlook, Word and Excel.
