\n\nQualifications / Job Requirements\n

- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa OR a valid compact state RN license\n
- Recent clinical experience in a Med/Surg Telemetry or telemetry nurse role\n
- Proven ability to monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms\n
- BLS certification required (American Heart Association preferred)\n
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including scheduled weekends and holidays\n
- Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and communication skills\n
- Willingness to complete onboarding requirements: health screenings, background checks, and competency testing\n
\n\nResponsibilities\n

- Provide safe, compassionate, and effective nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients, including orthopedic post-op patients\n
- Continuously monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms; escalate changes to the interdisciplinary healthcare team\n
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per provider orders and unit protocols\n
- Perform focused assessments, wound care, pain management, and post-operative orthopedic nursing tasks\n
- Collaborate with physicians, physical/occupational therapists, case management, and other clinical staff to optimize patient outcomes\n
- Provide patient and family education on care plans, mobility precautions, medications, and post-discharge instructions\n
- Accurately document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record (EMR)\n
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement, safety initiatives, and maintain compliance with hospital policies\n
