Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to support accurate invoicing and payment follow-up for a service-focused organization in Kansas City, Missouri. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to day-to-day revenue operations while ensuring billing records remain organized and up to date.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and issue customer invoices with accuracy and attention to established billing procedures.
• Review account activity and generate billing statements to ensure clients receive clear and timely documentation.
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on past-due accounts to support effective collection efforts.
• Enter, update, and maintain billing information within computerized billing systems.
• Investigate billing discrepancies and work with internal teams to resolve account issues promptly.
• Verify billing data for completeness and consistency before processing transactions.
• Maintain organized records of invoices, statements, payments, and collection activity.
• Assist with routine reporting related to billing status, account balances, and payment trends.• Experience handling billing tasks in an administrative, accounting, or customer support environment.
• Working knowledge of billing procedures, account follow-up, and statement preparation.
• Ability to use computerized billing systems and other standard office software effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in data entry and document review.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and internal departments regarding account matters.
• Comfortable managing multiple billing activities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Basic understanding of collections practices and payment processing workflows.
