Job DescriptionBilling Specialist | Kansas City, MO

LHH is partnering with a client that is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Construction Billing Specialist. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely billing for construction projects, maintaining compliance with contract terms, and supporting project managers with financial documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit progress billings and final invoices in accordance with contract terms.
  • Review project contracts and change orders to ensure billing accuracy.
  • Collaborate with project managers and accounting teams to track project costs and billing milestones.
  • Maintain organized records of billing documents, lien waivers, and compliance certificates.
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to client inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting related to construction projects.


Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in construction billing or a similar accounting role.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, AIA billing formats, and lien laws.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage 300, Procore, or similar).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

  • Compensation: $25-28ph.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour
