This work location(DCPP) has an alternating 4/10 AWS-Alternate Work Schedule. Please ensure that you only submit candidates who agree to a 4/10 work schedule. If you have not already conducted an AWS vote for this identified work unit, this would have to be completed prior to the candidate's start date to allow for the AWS, and your identified candidate will have to sign an acknowledgment form of the 4/10 AWS to keep on record internally.

- APPROVED MOB/DEMOB EXPENSE OF $,1000 FOR NON-LOCAL CANDIDATE. DAILY PER DIEM(MEALS & LODGING) APPROVED FOR WORK WEEK PER GSA.GOV RATE IF SELECTED CANDIDATE IS NOT LOCAL TO AREA.
- REQUIRED PPE WILL BE PROVIDED BY CLIENT. PERSONAL CELL PHONE REQUIRED(MINIMAL USE) FOR MULTI-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This role will support Diablo Canyon Power Plan Learning Services department, including all accredited training programs in Operations, Maintenance, and Technical training.
- Supports the maintenance of National Nuclear Accrediting Board accreditation for applicable training programs from the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO), including coordination of accrediting board preparation activities and assist/lead authoring of the accreditation self-evaluation report (ASER).
- Provides guidance and support to training supervisors and staff to ensure compliance with Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) accreditation guidelines and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations.
- Designs, develops, implements and manages instructor-training programs, including conducting initial and continuing instructor training that ensures a competent instructional staff.
- Develops self-assessment plans and coordinates the self-assessment process for the training department, including preparation documents for the Training Challenge Board.
- Develops, maintains and implements the systematic approach to training (SAT) procedures and handbook guidance.
- Performs instructor evaluations, including evaluation of instructor of performance data and recommend appropriate actions.
- Develops, implements, and manages performance indicators and metrics to maintain National Nuclear Accrediting Board accreditation.
- May manage projects or initiatives.
- Solves moderate to complex problems and takes a new perspective on existing solutions.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree
Desired Education: Degree in Education or equivalent
Minimum Experience: Three years of experience supporting a training program as an instructor or equivalent (NOTE: a Degree or Masters in education, communication, or equivalent may be counted as part of the experience. Nuclear Naval Training experience may be counted as part of the experience.)
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
