Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Job description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Machinist to join our team. You will be responsible for setting up and operating both CNC and conventional mills and lathes. This is a hands-on role that requires a technical eye for detail—from reading blueprints and calculating machining factors to performing complex setups and ensuring every finished piece meets exact tolerances.

What You’ll Do:

• Set Up & Operate: Independently manage complex setups and operations for multiple machines (CNC, manual, and potentially Gun Drills).
• Quality Control: Study blueprints and dispatch specs to verify dimensions, perform trial runs, and adjust controls to fix out-of-tolerance issues.
• Material Handling: Use forklifts, cranes, and hoists to move parts and load racks safely.
• Process Management: Track production time, maintain quality records, and follow continuous improvement plans.
• Collaboration: Work with engineers and programmers to resolve machining challenges and ensure safety standards are met.

What You Bring:

• Experience: 5+ years of CNC experience and ideally 3+ years with conventional machines.
• Technical Skills: Strong ability to read blueprints, apply GD&T (ANSI Y14.5), and use shop math for setups.
• Versatility: Proficiency with 2-to-5 axis machines and basic computer skills.
• Reliability: Ability to work with minimal supervision and hit specific deadlines with high accuracy.
• Certifications: Forklift/Crane certification is a plus; Trade school or equivalent work history is preferred.

Schedule - 1st shift, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

2nd shift, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm
