A Physical Therapist is needed at a new 90-bed acute care hospital opening Spring 2026 in Gainesville, FL, offering comprehensive emergency services, advanced surgical care, and a dedicated 30-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit.
The role. Working alongside physicians and an interdisciplinary care team, the Physical Therapist evaluates patient abilities and develops individualized treatment plans built around each patient's functional goals and recovery milestones. Day-to-day work centers on delivering evidence-based interventions to restore movement, reduce pain, and improve quality of life, while monitoring progress and refining plans as patients advance through recovery. Accurate, timely documentation of outcomes is an ongoing expectation. The therapist also educates patients and families on home exercise programs, adaptive strategies, and safe practices that support lasting independence, and may mentor therapy assistants or students as part of a collaborative, patient-centered team environment.
What we're looking for.
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapist vocational/professional program required
- Active Florida Physical Therapist license required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- 1+ years of physical therapy experience preferred; new graduates welcome to apply
Schedule. Days with rotating weekends, core hours 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with schedules staggered based on unit needs.
Compensation. $35.77 - $35.77/hr plus Sign On: $20k Relocation Assistance: Case by Case
