Job Title: Production Supervisor
Job Description
The Production Supervisor oversees the mold and bond area, primarily managing press operations and leading a team of 25–40 production employees. This role combines hands-on support with strong leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. The supervisor drives process improvement initiatives, supports continuous improvement activities, and serves as the first line of maintenance review before engaging maintenance teams. The position also includes daily reporting, workforce development, and close monitoring of production performance, downtime, and scrap.
Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day operations in the mold and bond area, focusing on press machinery and related processes.
- Lead and oversee a team of approximately 25–40 production employees, ensuring clear communication of expectations and priorities.
- Work hands-on alongside team members to teach and support deflashing, inspection, and machine operation activities.
- Serve as the first line of maintenance by reviewing and troubleshooting machine issues before calling in maintenance personnel.
- Drive process improvement, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
- Track production output, downtime, and scrap, and assist in implementing actions to reduce downtime and scrap rates.
- Prepare and submit a clear and accurate end-of-shift report each day, summarizing performance, issues, and key updates.
- Support and lead training and development of employees to improve skills, performance, and versatility across operations.
- Monitor and manage timecards and attendance, ensuring accurate records and adherence to schedule requirements.
- Collaborate with other supervisors and departments to coordinate production schedules and meet customer requirements.
- Promote and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in alignment with 5S principles.
- Champion a proactive culture focused on problem-solving, continuous improvement, and effective communication.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $63000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
