Position Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and quality. This role involves collaboration with design and production teams to ensure that products are manufactured effectively and meet quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with product design teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Utilize CAD software, such as SolidWorks, to create and modify engineering drawings and specifications.
- Conduct DFM (Design for Manufacturing) reviews to identify potential manufacturing challenges early in the design phase.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to manufacturing processes, including work instructions and process flows.
- Train production staff on new processes and technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on machining and CNC operations.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices, including DFM and lean manufacturing.
- Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
