We are seeking two Material Handlers/Box Assemblers to join our team, responsible for box assembly and shipping preparation for international shipments. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are securely stored and transported.
Responsibilities
- Review work orders, inspect materials, and prepare tools for box construction.
- Operate equipment such as hand wrappers and pallet wrappers.
- Conduct quality checks by inspecting boxes for defects, leaks, or misalignment before finalizing installation.
- Assist with loading and positioning bulk materials as needed.
- Clean work areas, maintain equipment, and document completed installations at the end of the day.
Essential Skills
- Understanding and following safety protocols.
- Experience in box building, pallet wrapping, or crate building.
- Ability to load, unload, and transport materials securely.
- Experience in palletizing, stacking, and organizing materials for storage and transport.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Mechanically inclined with skills in material handling, general labor, and operating hand and power tools.
- Experience in labor fields such as construction, roofing, landscaping, or industrial manufacturing.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
- Forklift operation capability.
- Knowledge of chemical handling and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to cleaning protocols.
- Preferred OSHA 10 certification.

Work Environment
The warehouse operates with about 40 employees, including floor staff and management, with candidates reporting to a shift lead. The position is for the 1st shift, Monday-Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Work is primarily indoors, but trailers are not climate-controlled, requiring the ability to work in varying temperatures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Selkirk, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
