We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of electrical systems and assemblies. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with switchgear design, low-voltage power distribution, and control systems. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, a commitment to technical excellence, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while maintaining high standards of documentation and quality.
Key Responsibilities

Design and develop low-voltage electrical switchgear assemblies, replacement breakers, and related power equipment from concept through completion.

Collaborate with mechanical engineering, production, purchasing, and vendor teams to produce complete drawing, submittal, and bill of materials (BOM) packages that meet project and regulatory requirements.

Partner with QA and testing personnel to create and review testing plans and ensure compliance with applicable standards.

Establish and improve standard design processes and documentation to drive consistency and efficiency.

Manage design revisions and updates throughout the product lifecycle.

Provide technical support to project management, manufacturing, and sales teams.

Maintain accurate and organized engineering documentation.

Take a proactive, hands-on approach to resolving design and production challenges.

Mentor and guide junior engineers to build a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

Perform additional project-related duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (required).

EIT certification preferred.
-
3+ years of relevant design experience (switchgear, control circuits, or related electrical systems preferred).

Experience with UL 891 standards.

Familiarity with REVIT, Inventor, and PLC/HMI systems (Rockwell, Siemens, or Woodward) a plus.

PE license in power systems or demonstrated ability to obtain one strongly preferred.
