Job DescriptionMedical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced ***Certified Medical Assistant***.
- Minimum of 1 (one) year of experience required - preferably in a family practice or internal medicine.
This is a FULL TIME/TEMP TO HIRE position requiring availability between the hours of 7:55AM-5:15PM or 5:45PM, Monday through Friday, located in Chesapeake, VA (23320).
Responsibilities:A Day in the life of a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA):
As a Certified Medical Assistant you will be responsible for assisting the providers in patient care, triage patients and data entry. Calling in prescriptions, autoclave instruments, phone triage, obtaining prior authorizations, clean exam rooms, quality improvement, and other duties in an outpatient clinical setting.

Requirements for the CMA:
- Required: 1+ years experience as a CMA
- Required: CMA certification
- Required: BLS
- Required: Completion of an accredited MA program
- Required: Ability to pass Background Check and Drug Screen
- Required: Must be reliable and a quick learner and have ability to multi-task with accuracy in a very busy environment
- Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications for the Certified Medical Assistant:
- Preferred: Internal or Family Medicine

- $18.00-$20.00 an hour (depending on experience level)
