Job DescriptionAutomation Maintenance Lead/Technician
Pay: $40.00/hourShift: 7AM-4PM Or 8AM-5PM (Hours may Vary)Location:Romeovile, Illinois
Position OverviewWe’re seeking a detail-oriented Automation Maintenance Lead/ Technician with 2-15 years of experience to join our growing team in Romeoville, IL. In this role, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated equipment and systems to maximize uptime and optimize production efficiency. Ideal candidates will have a solid foundation in electrical and mechanical systems, along with hands-on experience working with automation and PLCs in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on automated production equipment
- Troubleshoot issues involving electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Install, test, and calibrate new automation equipment and systems
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints accurately
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance work performed
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and internal procedures
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to enhance equipment reliability
- Support system upgrades and new equipment installations
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or technical certification in Electrical, Automation, or a related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in industrial or automation maintenance roles
- Strong working knowledge of PLCs, robotics, and automated control systems
- Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- OSHA certification or other safety training is a plus
