Job DescriptionMechanical Assembler

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Overtime: Voluntary

Job Summary

Join a growing, team‑oriented manufacturing company as a Mechanical Assembler. In this role, you will assemble hydraulic pumps, valves, and kits used across industries such as car wash systems, machine tool coolant systems, and oil & gas. The position offers hands‑on mechanical work, cross‑training opportunities, and a clear path for skill growth—from entry‑level to expert‑level assembly.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and assembly instructions
  • Assemble hydraulic pumps, valves, and kits from start to finish
  • Build sub‑assemblies and complete full mechanical assemblies
  • Test pumps and valves per training and quality standards
  • Operate forklifts as trained to move materials and components
  • Rotate across multiple assembly lines to support production needs
  • Collaborate with warehouse, kitting, and shipping/receiving teams
  • Participate in a structured two‑week training covering products, SOPs, and customer applications

Required Qualifications

  • General mechanical aptitude with experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Minimum 6+ months of mechanical assembly experience in an industrial setting
  • Strong teamwork skills and reliable work history (1+ year preferred)
  • Willingness to learn new products, processes, and responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience reading blueprints and working on assembly lines
  • Forklift operation experience (or willingness to train and certify)

Work Environment

  • Clean, organized, and safety‑focused manufacturing facility
  • Approximately 100 employees
  • Facility includes CNC machining centers and dedicated assembly and shipping/receiving areas
  • Employees rotate tasks and are not confined to one assembly station, keeping work engaging
  • Exposure to material movement, kit building, pump testing, and final assembly
  • Production of approximately 15,000 pumps annually, providing variety and continuous learning

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
