Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Receiving Lead to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee the receiving operations within our warehouse, ensuring efficient inventory management and adherence to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of warehouse processes, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily receiving activities to ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming shipments.
- Manage inventory control processes, including tracking stock levels and conducting regular audits.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in warehouse distribution and logistics operations.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
- Train, mentor, and lead a team of warehouse associates, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory movements and managing shipping & receiving tasks.
- Collaborate with e-commerce teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment and timely deliveries.
- Handle heavy lifting and materials handling as required during the receiving process.
- Ensure proper documentation is maintained for all incoming shipments, including AS400 data entry when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse management or as a warehouse supervisor is essential.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with logistics operations and shipping & receiving processes.
- Experience with 3PL (third-party logistics) environments is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment operation and maintenance is an asset.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the role.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively.
- Previous experience in e-commerce fulfillment is a plus.
