Tool Room Supervisor | Norton Shores, MI
Salary Range: $64,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the organization, inventory, and maintenance of all tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and equipment.
- Supervise and train tool room personnel, ensuring efficient workflow and skill development.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and standards within the tool room.
- Manage the procurement of new tools and replacement parts, including vendor selection and negotiation.
- Schedule and coordinate tool maintenance, repair, and calibration to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of tool inventory, usage, and repair history.
- Collaborate with engineering and production departments to ensure tool availability and support manufacturing needs.
- Monitor and control tool room operational costs and identify areas for improvement.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proven experience in tool room operations and management.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and equipment maintenance.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management and control of tooling.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience with quality control procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
Bonus Qualifications
- - Experience with inventory management software and ERP systems.
- - Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
- - Familiarity with preventative maintenance scheduling and execution.
- - Basic understanding of machining processes and tool sharpening.
- - Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior staff.
