Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time teaching opportunity is available for a licensed Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing serving students across grades K12. This role requires an active Tennessee Department of Education (DOE) certification and involves a standard 37.5-hour workweek.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing in grades K5, 68, and 912.
• Develop and implement individualized educational programs tailored to each students needs.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive support.
• Potentially serve in an itinerant capacity, traveling between locations to accommodate students' schedules.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of educational outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Active Tennessee DOE certification in teaching Deaf/Hard of Hearing students.
• Experience working with a range of grade levels from elementary through high school.
• Strong knowledge of specialized instructional strategies and communication methods.
• Ability to manage a flexible schedule to meet individual student needs.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Location:

• Position is based in Collegedale, TN, with possible travel to multiple sites depending on student schedules.
