Payroll & Benefits Specialist

Salary: $52,000 - $60,000 | Full-Time, Exempt | Bonus Eligible

Ready to take your payroll career to the next level? DCM Services is looking for a detail-oriented Payroll & Benefits Specialist who wants to grow with a dynamic, multi-state organization. You'll work directly with an experienced Payroll & Benefits Manager who will mentor you as you master the complexities of multi-state payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS systems.

What You'll Do
Payroll Operations (70%)
- Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll for multi-state operations, including salaries, bonuses, benefits deductions, garnishments, and taxes
- Manage payroll updates for new hires, terminations, and pay changes with precision and timeliness
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws across multiple jurisdictions
- Prepare payroll reports and support internal and external audits
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and accuracy
Benefits Administration (30%)
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and questions
- Verify insurance billing and maintain accurate benefits records
- Support open enrollment processes and benefits communication
- Process benefits changes in the HRIS system for seamless payroll integration
- Help prepare required benefits notices and compliance reporting
Requirements:
What You Bring
Required:
- 2-3 years of payroll administration experience
- Strong understanding of payroll fundamentals and wage & hour regulations
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms (Paylocity experience is a plus!)
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort with the MS Office suite
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Exposure to multi-state payroll
- Benefits administration experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Understanding of 401(k), FSA, and other benefit plans
Work Location & Arrangement
Ideal: Hybrid in Bloomington, MN with 1-2 days per week in office
