Senior Manager

Position Overview

Serves as the single point of contact for the Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officers Representative (COR) and is responsible for overall contract management, ensuring technical solutions and schedules are executed on time. An alternate must be identified in the proposal; during any absence, only one alternate has full authority to act for the Contractor on all contract matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, execution, and closeout of high-impact projects supporting FEMA FQS curriculum development.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Manage risks, issues, and changes; implement mitigation strategies and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate and supervise cross-functional staff and external partners/SMEs.
  • Provide stakeholder communications and regular status reporting; support weekly progress meetings and required briefings/materials.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal/DHS/FEMA policies and task order requirements.
  • Monitor performance against deliverables, timeliness, and quality standards; drive continuous improvement.
  • Resolve conflicts, remove blockers, and maintain collaboration across the team.
  • Prepare project documentation and presentations, including required management plans and progress reports.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelors degree in business, management, or related field (Masters preferred).
7+ years of project management experience, preferably in federal or large-scale environments.
PMP or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).

Certification Requirement

  • PMP (or equivalent) strongly preferred

Clearance Requirement

  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a FEMA Public Trust suitability/background investigation (and comply with sensitive information handling requirements).
