Job DescriptionMedical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced
***Customer Service Representative / Telephone Operator***.

• Minimum of 1 year paid medical clerical experience required.

This is a FULL TIME/TEMP TO HIRE position requiring availability between the hours of 8:15AM - 4:45PM or 8:30AM - 5PM, Monday through Friday, located in Norfolk, VA (23502).
Responsibilities :A Day in the life of a Customer Service Representative/Telephone Operator :
Provides indirect patient care in the office/clinic setting. Greets and registers patients via phone. Verifies patient demographic and insurance information. Performs Medical necessity checking on procedures/tests/ordered for patients. Performs clerical duties. Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, office/clinic staff and the medical staff. Majority of the calls will be inbound calls. Must have excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work in two different computer systems at once which will require multi-task skills.
Requirements for the Telephone Operator :

• Required: 1 year paid medical clerical experience
• Required: Ability to pass Background Check and Drug Screen
• Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications for the Telephone Operator :

• Preferred: Knowledge of medical terminology
• Preferred: Strong customer service and able to work in a fast paced environment
