Title: X-Ray Technologist
Location: Gahanna, OH
Duration:13 weeks
Shift: Day shift – 5x8 hours (08:00–16:30).
Job Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging across outpatient settings for adolescent and adult patient populations.
Conduct a full range of routine X-ray procedures including extremities, abdomen/GI, spine, pelvis, chest, thorax, and upper airway when applicable.
Prepare and administer contrast media when required.
Ensure radiation safety and infection prevention protocols are followed at all times.
Start peripheral IVs and assist with prepping patients for CT and MRI as needed.
Utilize Siemens imaging equipment, including Siemens Ysio S systems.
Document exams in the required charting systems.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams including IV teams, radiology staff, lift teams, and interpretation services.
Maintain safe, accurate, and efficient imaging workflow with 1:1 patient ratio.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of X-ray technologist experience.
Certifications required: ARRT (R) and BLS.
Must have experience working with Siemens imaging equipment.
Required experience performing:
Abdomen/GI: KUB, upright abdomen
Chest exams: AP and routine views
Lower extremity imaging: ankle, femur, foot, knee, tibia-fibula
Spine and pelvis imaging: cervical, lumbar, thoracic, hip, pelvis, sacrum/coccyx
Upper extremity imaging: clavicle, elbow, forearm, hand, shoulder, wrist, trauma shoulder/humerus
Ability to work in adult and pediatric outpatient settings.
Proficiency in infection prevention, isolation precautions, radiation safety, and contrast media processes.
Ability to start peripheral IVs and assist with patient preparation for additional modalities.
Experience in a teaching hospital environment required.
Travel experience required.
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
Experience with specialized or complex imaging procedures such as:
Abdomen decubitus
Chest lateral decubitus
Upper airway/soft tissue neck
Scapular Y or transthoracic axial views
Facial bones, sinuses, orbits, skull imaging
Comfort working with multidisciplinary teams and high-volume outpatient settings.
Strong ability to work independently and adapt to multiple imaging needs.
