National Bakery seeks an experienced, Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Vernon.

Job Overview:
The Human Resources Generalist will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth HR operations across the company. You will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions including recruitment, on boarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and more. This position requires a highly organized, people-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment & Staffing: Manage the recruitment cycle, from job postings to initial interviews, setting interviews for hiring manager/s and onboarding.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as the first point of contact for employee concerns, providing guidance and resolving issues in line with company policies.
  • Benefits Administration: Oversee benefits programs including health insurance and employee wellness initiatives.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including record-keeping, EEO, protective leave and workplace safety.
  • Performance Management: Support managers in performance reviews, employee development, and disciplinary actions.
  • HR Policies & Procedures: HR policies based on employee handbook and procedures to align with company goals and legal requirements.
  • HR Data & Reporting: Manage HRIS data application, generate reports, and analyze HR metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred but not required Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent years worked in related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in human resources, preferably in a generalist role.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
