As a Critical Care Transport RN, you’ll play a vital role in the safe and therapeutic transfer of critically ill patients, from infants to adults, across air and ground transport settings. Your commitment and expertise will be valued and honed through advanced procedure simulation labs and continuing education, providing experiences that make a powerful impression on your resume.
Schedule/Hours
- 7:00 am – 7:00 pm (12-hour shifts)
Key Qualifications
- BSN required
- Minimum three years critical care experience (ICU/Emergency), or two years in a high-volume tertiary care setting, or two years of recent critical care transport leadership required
- ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and NIHSS required
- One advanced nursing certification (CEN, CCRN, CTRN, or CFRN) preferred
- Current, unrestricted RN licensure for DC
- Successful completion of comprehensive transport orientation
- Must live at least 50 miles away from the assignment location
Core Responsibilities
- Provide independent assessment, stabilization, and intervention for complex patients during transport
- Execute advanced procedures (airway management, decompression, intubation, etc.) with confidence
- Problem solve alongside multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best patient outcomes
- Participate in departmental training, clinical skill labs, and ongoing quality programs
- Deliver positive, clear, and effective communication under pressure
