- Welcome and assist patients and visitors with a friendly, professional approach—both in person and over the phone
- Help ensure a smooth and positive patient experience by coordinating patient flow, keeping patients informed of any delays, and communicating closely with clinical staff
- Provide patients with clear, helpful instructions for appointments, lab work, procedures, and referrals
- Register new patients and update existing records by collecting accurate demographic, insurance, and contact information
- Collect payments, manage patient balances, and accurately document transactions for the billing team
- Confidently navigate the EMR to document patient interactions, update records, and support daily operations
- Maintain clear, timely communication with patients and providers via phone and EMR
- Manage administrative tasks such as scanning and faxing documents electronically and maintaining organized, up-to-date digital records
- Update and maintain internal spreadsheets used for tracking and office coordination
- Monitor and restock office supplies, proactively communicating any needs to management
- Uphold patient confidentiality by safeguarding protected health information and securing workstations when unattended
- Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming each day
- Support the team with additional administrative tasks as needed
