We are seeking experienced Electricians with over three years of experience to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for electrical troubleshooting throughout the facility and assist Senior Operating Technicians on significant projects. Your daily tasks will include managing work orders, handling inventory, and responding to emergency calls. You will be working with 480-volt three-phase power distribution equipment and must be proficient in troubleshooting AC/DC motors, drives, starters, and DC controls.
Responsibilities
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting and maintenance tasks throughout the facility.
- Assist Senior Operating Technicians on major projects.
- Participate in production and maintenance tests to ensure maximum production and quality.
- Manage work orders, inventory removal, and report inventory changes.
- Respond to emergency calls and provide timely solutions.
- Work with 480V three-phase power distribution and high voltage equipment.
- Troubleshoot starters, motor starters, AC/DC motors, drives, and DC controls.
- Read schematics and use basic computer skills for reporting.
- Perform some mechanical work on motors, pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatics as needed.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Electrician.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting 480V motor circuits.
- Ability to read motor control schematics.
- Experience with AC/DC motor control and troubleshooting controls, motors, switches, and starters.
- Basic computer knowledge for troubleshooting and reporting.
- Valid Driver's License.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- PLC troubleshooting and maintenance experience.
- Experience with switch gear manipulation (440V, 4800V).
- Understanding of plant power one-line diagrams for high and medium voltage distribution.
- Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Journeyman Card or Master Electrician status is a plus.
- High school diploma or GED required.

Work Environment
This is a heavy industrial environment requiring fire retardant clothing, steel-toed boots, hard hats, and safety glasses, all of which are provided. The facility is both inside and outside, with potential exposure to extreme weather conditions, including heat up to 130 degrees during summer. Shifts include a day shift from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, and a rotating 12-hour swing shift. Employees will work closely with a team, ensuring safety and collaboration.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Detroit, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
