Construction Project Manager - Retail & Restaurant Development

Job Description

We are partnering with a global organization operating retail and food & beverage businesses within a highly recognized, large-scale destination environment in the U.S. This role offers a rare opportunity to lead construction and remodeling projects in one of the most high-traffic and operationally complex venues in the country.

The position will be responsible for overseeing store and restaurant renovation projects, as well as supporting new development initiatives within a unique, immersive customer-facing environment. This is an ideal role for a construction professional who thrives in fast-paced, high-visibility settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of retail and restaurant construction and remodeling projects
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables from pre-construction through completion
• Review construction drawings, including architectural and MEP plans
• Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors
• Conduct site surveys, site walks, and due diligence for new and existing locations
• Develop project plans and ensure alignment with operational needs
• Prepare RFPs and support vendor selection processes
• Track progress and report updates to senior stakeholders
• Collaborate cross-functionally to identify operational challenges and incorporate improvements
• Ensure compliance with construction standards and project requirements

Qualifications

• Experience in construction project management within retail, restaurant, or commercial facilities
• Strong understanding of pre-construction and construction processes
• Ability to read and interpret construction and MEP drawings
• Experience managing contractors, vendors, and multiple stakeholders
• At least 1+ year of relevant project management experience
• Strong communication skills in English
• Japanese language skills are a big plus
• Interest in or exposure to Japanese culture is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
