Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Rehab RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Providing skilled nursing care in a long-term care (LTC) and rehabilitation setting, this opportunity is ideal for RNs with recent experience in post-acute and LTC environments. The role involves working 12-hour day shifts, ensuring quality patient care, and collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Location: Omro, WIsituated near Berlin, WI, this area offers a welcoming community with access to local amenities and a comfortable living environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care to LTC and rehab patients following physician orders, including wound care management.
- Perform PIV insertions and blood draws as needed.
- Utilize electronic charting systems, preferably Epic, and manage medication dispensing via Pyxis.
- Float as needed to a nearby facility approximately 40 miles away, providing care for both rehab and LTC patients.
- Adhere to shift schedules, including every other weekend rotation and holiday coverage as required.
- Participate in a structured orientation program consisting of one onboarding day plus four shifts with preceptorship.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and facility standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Wisconsin RN license and current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of two years nursing experience with recent LTC exposure strongly required.
- Proven skills in wound care and following clinical directives.
- Familiarity with Epic charting and Pyxis medication systems preferred.
- Ability to float to nearby sites, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Contract Details:
- Contract length: 6 weeks with guaranteed 36 hours per week.
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts.
- No on-call or call-back duties.
- Orientation includes five total days to facilitate smooth integration.
- Black scrub colors required.
