Cameron-Cole an ADEC Innovation, is looking for a Level II Geologist-Hydrogeologist (CG04) , to join our team. The ideal candidate will , work under the supervision and direction of senior staff. The Level II Geologist-Hydrogeologist performs environmental field sampling, including the collection of groundwater samples from monitor wells, collection of surface and subsurface soil samples, installation of wells and boreholes, assisting with data analysis, development of presentations, and site investigations.

Compensation: $30 - $41 Hourly

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collection of groundwater and soil for analysis while accurately following identified field sampling plans and Cameron-Cole guidelines and procedures.
  • Serving as primary field representative, including coordinating available equipment and subcontractor availability.
  • Participates in site investigations compliant with federal and state regulations.
  • Oversees and performs lithologic logging testing of wells/boreholes.
  • Develops site maps of groundwater contour and chemical isoconcentration and assists with preparation of draft reports and presentation, including tables, charts and graphs.
  • Routine interaction with clients and participates in regulatory meetings in a support role.
  • Preparation of Environmental Documents such as site investigations, groundwater monitoring reports and phase I environmental assessments
  • All other duties as assigned

Skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in environmental field sampling skills, including groundwater and soil collection in accordance with approved sampling plans, QA/QC requirements, and company procedures
  • Proficient in performing, documenting, and interpreting lithologic logging of wells and boreholes accurately during drilling and site investigations.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations and ability to conduct site work in compliance with applicable requirements
  • Strong technical data and mapping skills, including development of groundwater contour maps, chemical isoconcentration maps, and preparation of tables, charts, and figures for reports
  • Effective communication and coordination skills to serve as a field representative, work with subcontractors, and support client and regulatory interactions
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in both field and office settings and provide informal guidance or support to junior staff as needed

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, or a related field, or equivalent job experience.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of geology and hydrogeology, including soil and groundwater systems
  • OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPR certification required.
  • 2-4 years of demonstrated experience in environmental fieldwork, including groundwater and soil sampling activities

Work Environment

This position operates in a combination of field and office environments. The role requires regular participation in environmental fieldwork, including working outdoors in varying weather conditions and terrain while conducting site investigations, groundwater and soil sampling, and well or borehole logging. Field activities may involve travel to project sites and coordination with subcontractors. When not in the field, the position works in a traditional office setting using standard office equipment to support data analysis, mapping, and report preparation. The role may require occasional travel for client or regulatory meetings.
