Job Title: Registered Nurse – Wound Care
Location : Largo, MD 20774
Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:30 - 18:00)
Contact duration : 13 weeks
Required Qualifications:
- License: Active MD or Compact RN License – Must be active at time of submission
- Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of wound care experience
- Previous travel experience: Not required
- First-time travelers accepted
- Certifications:
- BLS (AHA only) – Required
- WOCN – Required
- ACLS – Preferred
Required Skills:
Experience and proficiency in the following wound care treatments:
- Wound Vac Therapy
- Wound Cultures
- Braden Scale & Prevention Risk Assessments
- Sharp, enzymatic, autolytic, and mechanical debridement
- Use of various wound care products (Hydrogels, Foams, Silver, etc.)
- Pressure ulcer staging (Stages I–IV)
- Ulcer (Venous, Arterial, Neuropathic) assessment and management
- Ostomy Care (Colostomy, Ileostomy, Stoma types, Ostomy appliance selection)
- Continence care: catheter management, fecal/urinary programs
- G-tube/J-tube care
- Infection control, isolation precautions
- Patient and family education
Work Setting:
- Centralized Wound Care Department
- Non-unit based – covers entire hospital including ED/PACU
- Interdisciplinary support includes PT, RT, Radiology, Social Services, etc.
