Job Description
We’ve partnered with a well-funded embedded security startup developing advanced authentication and encryption solutions for complex systems. They’re assembling their founding engineering team and are seeking Embedded Software Engineers focused on low-level system development and embedded security.
Your Role:
- Design and develop mixed-signal PCBs for embedded microcontroller and security-focused systems.
- Take ownership of schematic creation, PCB layout, and production-ready module bring-up.
- Integrate wireless subsystems, including BLE, GPS, and LTE, with secure microcontrollers.
- Apply design techniques that improve physical and electronic tamper resistance.
- Perform board bring-up, validation, and troubleshooting using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic tools.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in electronic circuit and PCB design for embedded systems.
- Demonstrated experience with microcontroller-based hardware, power regulation, and mixed-signal designs.
- Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB design software (Altium, KiCad, or similar).
- Experience integrating wireless communication modules into compact embedded systems.
- Knowledge of hardware security elements, such as secure microcontrollers, cryptographic coprocessors, or TPMs.
- Strong debugging skills with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and protocol analyzers.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with firmware development in C/C++.
- Background in designing electronics for automotive, mobility, or rugged environments.
- Familiarity with tamper detection, conformal coatings, or physical security techniques.
