Palmer Industries, a custom architectural metalwork and solid brass manufacturer serving architects, interior designers, and hospitality clients, is seeking an experienced Purchasing, Inventory & Delivery Coordinator to support our production and operations team.

This is a hands-on, multi-function role: you will help keep materials flowing into the shop, keep inventory records accurate, and handle local deliveries and pickups as needed. This is an experienced-level role and not a training position. We need someone who can take ownership of these responsibilities from day one, working closely with production, shipping, and leadership. The role reports to the Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Purchasing

- Place, track, and follow up on purchase orders for raw materials, hardware, shop supplies, and components.

- Communicate with suppliers on lead times, order confirmations, and delivery schedules.

- Maintain accurate purchasing records in our ERP system (Syteline / CSI).

- Flag material shortages or delays to production and the Operations Manager before they become problems.

Inventory

- Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies against ERP records.

- Maintain accurate, up-to-date inventory records for raw materials, components, and finished goods.

- Support the annual physical inventory process.

- Help identify and correct root causes of recurring inventory errors.

Delivery / Logistics

- Make local deliveries and pickups using a company vehicle, including rush material pickups from local suppliers and drop-offs as directed.

- Load and unload materials safely, following proper handling procedures.

- Run occasional local errands in support of shop operations.

Qualifications

- Experience in purchasing, inventory, warehouse, or logistics in a manufacturing environment required.

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; comfortable making local deliveries in a company vehicle.

- Comfortable working in an ERP system for purchase orders and inventory tracking (Syteline / CSI experience a plus, not required).

- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving shop environment.

- Comfortable with occasional physical work: lifting, loading, and moving materials.

- This is not a training role. We're looking for someone who can step in and take ownership quickly.

Compensation

Compensation is $22.00 – $26.00 per hour, based on experience.
