Our organization is thrilled to announce the opportunity for dedicated and skilled professionals to apply for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher position for the current academic school year.
This role involves working across various grade levels in our district to provide vital support and specialized education to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
In this role, the DHH Teacher will adapt and modify curriculum materials to ensure accessibility, conduct ongoing assessments to track student progress, and deliver individualized instruction based on each learner’s unique needs. You will provide training and resources to school staff to strengthen support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, while also developing and implementing comprehensive IEPs that guide instruction and services. A key component of the position includes fostering clear and effective communication among students, families, teachers, and service providers to promote student success across learning environments.
RequirementsTo be considered, candidates must hold a Georgia PEL with a Deaf and Hard of Hearing endorsement, possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in Deaf Education or a related field, and successfully complete all required background checks and drug screening prior to the start of the assignment.
