Summary Job Description

Delivers HVAC products, equipment, and supplies to customers and company branches safely and efficiently.

Supports warehouse operations when not driving by assisting with loading, unloading, staging, and general warehouse tasks.

Maintains delivery accuracy, ensures vehicle readiness, and upholds company safety and service standards at all times.

Key ResponsibilitiesDelivery Operations

  • Safely deliver HVAC products, parts, and equipment to customers, branches, and job sites according to scheduled routes.
  • Verify the accuracy of delivery tickets, ensuring that all items are correct, undamaged, and properly loaded.
  • Collect signed delivery receipts or other required documentation upon delivery.
  • Handle and secure materials safely to prevent damage during transit.
  • Load and unload trucks using pallet jacks, or manual handling, ensuring proper weight distribution.
  • Plan efficient delivery routes and maintain communication with dispatch or warehouse personnel for updates.
  • Ensure all deliveries comply with DOT, OSHA, and HazMat safety regulations.
  • Report any delays, route issues, or incidents immediately to management.

Vehicle Maintenance & Compliance

  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections (pre-trip and post-trip) to check for mechanical or safety issues.
  • Ensure all logs, inspection sheets, and delivery records are completed accurately.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness, report maintenance needs, and schedule service as required.
  • Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and federal transportation regulations.
  • Keep a valid CDL license and medical certificate up to date.
  • Properly store and transport hazardous materials (R410A, R32, nitrogen, oxygen) in accordance with DOT standards.

Warehouse Support

  • Assist warehouse personnel with order pulling, product staging, and packaging between routes.
  • Help receive incoming shipments and transfer materials to proper storage areas.
  • Operate pallet jacks to move HVAC units, and supplies within the warehouse.
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy.
  • Support inventory counts and ensure product labels and order documentation are complete.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in loading zones and storage areas.
  • The driver acts as a secondary warehouse helper when routes are light.

Customer Service

  • Represent Saez Distributors professionally at all customer locations.
  • Communicate courteously and effectively with customers regarding deliveries, issues, or delays.
  • Handle all deliveries with a customer-first attitude, ensuring satisfaction and professionalism.
  • Notify management of customer feedback, damaged products, or discrepancies.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all company safety standards, including proper lifting techniques and use of PPE.
  • Adhere to HazMat regulations when transporting refrigerants, compressed gases, or other restricted materials.
  • Immediately report any accidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions.
  • Participate in required safety training and maintain awareness of DOT updates.

Requirements:QualificationsEducation & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional truck driving experience (HVAC or distribution industry preferred).
  • Must possess a valid Class E, Class B or higher CDL License; HazMat Endorsement preferred.
  • Clean driving record with no major violations in the past three years.
  • Familiarity with South Florida routes and traffic patterns preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles safely.
  • Proficient in operating pallet jacks, and lift gates.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory systems.
  • Experience handling hazardous materials in compliance with DOT regulations.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented and safety-conscious.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Regularly required to lift, move, or carry items up to 75 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, bending, and loading/unloading throughout the day.
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and rain.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods while driving.
  • Use of PPE required (safety shoes, gloves, safety vest).
