Peer Wellness Educators – Art Academy of Cincinnati
Are you an art student who believes creativity and well-being go hand-in-hand? Join our team as a Peer Wellness Educator and help nurture a thriving resilient campus community through art-based wellness programming.
Pay Rate: $11.00 per hour
What You’ll Do
Drawing on the NASPA Certified Peer Educator model and the transformative role of art in emotional well-being, you will:
- Lead wellness workshops and creative activities that foster self-expression, mindfulness, and positive coping—using media from collage to painting and beyond.
- Use your understanding of the unique pressures faced by artists to build supportive spaces for stress relief, connection, and emotional health.
- Offer peer support using active listening and compassionate guidance and connect students to campus resources.
- Collaborate with wellness staff, faculty, and creative student groups on projects that blend art and health advocacy.
- Receive comprehensive training in leadership, mental health, and peer education based on the NASPA Certified Peer Educator (CPE) model.
