What you’ll do
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
- Fabricate comfortable temporary crowns for patients after their procedures.
- Take alginate and PVS impressions.
- You'll be able to use a scanner to capture scans of patients dentition for the dentists before/after their procedures.
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments are sterilized and ready for use while adhering to infection control protocols.
- Take and develop X-rays, utilizing your skills in medical imaging to support accurate diagnoses.
- Manage electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix to document patient information accurately and securely.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care, fostering a positive experience during their visits.
- Monitor vital signs and assist in the assessment of patients’ health conditions prior to treatment.
- Stay current with dental terminology and advancements in the field to provide informed support during procedures.
Basic qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control measures essential for maintaining patient safety.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with 3D scanners for advanced imaging techniques
- Proficient in Spanish is a plus!
