Job DescriptionJob Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Radiology / Cardiology (CT Specialty)

Location: Syracuse, NY
Shift: Day Shift – 5x8 Hours (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Summary:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs a variety of routine diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures under general supervision. This role may also include training and guiding other staff while ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialized nuclear medicine imaging procedures
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately
• Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images
• Ensure proper patient preparation, positioning, and care during procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical systems
• Follow all radiation safety protocols and regulatory guidelines
• Assist in equipment quality control, calibration, and maintenance
• Provide guidance and support to junior staff as needed
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams for accurate diagnostics

Equipment & Systems Used:

• Nuclear medicine imaging cameras (multi-head systems)
• Hot lab information management systems
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
• Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS)

Required Qualifications:

• Valid State License/Registration (as applicable)
• ARRT or CNMT Certification in Nuclear Medicine (or board eligible)
• Current CPR Certification
• Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and safety standards

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• Experience working in hospital or clinical imaging environments
• Familiarity with advanced nuclear imaging equipment and workflows
