Job Summary:
The Roustabout Helper provides hands-on assistance in the operation and maintenance of flow measurement equipment. This position supports field sampling, basic testing, and routine adjustments on proprietary sensors, assembly and disassembly of mechanical parts and flanges, working under the direct guidance of qualified remote personnel. Basic training will be provided to perform the assigned tasks safely and accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
General Duties:
- Perform standard roustabout support activities such as maintaining clean, safe, and organized work areas around flow measurement and production equipment.
- Assist in equipment handling, light maintenance, and minor repairs as instructed.
- Follow all company safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
- Support other facility operations and maintenance tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Flow Meter and Sampling Duties:
- Collect oil and water samples from flow meter lines and following established procedures.
- Conduct Water Cut (WC), density and centrifuge tests to determine oil/water ratios, ensuring accurate measurement and recording of data.
- Assist in the inspection and cleaning of sampling ports, hoses, and containers to maintain sample integrity.
- Perform proprietary sensor checks and adjustments under the real-time guidance of qualified remote personnel using communication tools provided.
- Identify and report any abnormal readings, leaks, or operational issues immediately.
- Support mechanical activities during the sensor calibration or zeroing procedures for sensors and transmitters as directed.
Training and Supervision:
- Receive basic training on flow measurement principles, sample collection, WC analysis, centrifuge operation, and sensor handling.
- All technical operations (sensor adjustments, data entry, or process interventions) will be performed under the direct instruction of remotely connected qualified technicians or engineers.
- Participate in on-site safety and operational training sessions as scheduled.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in oilfield or industrial operations preferred but not required; basic mechanical aptitude desired.

- Basic understanding of oilfield processes and safety practices.
- Comfortable working with hand tools and basic testing equipment (centrifuge, sample bottles, measurement devices).
- Reliable communication and teamwork.
- Willingness to learn and perform repetitive technical tasks accurately.
Working Conditions:
- Work outdoors at the field location visiting the different well sites per pre-defined schedule.
- Exposure to oilfield conditions (noise, temperature variations, and hydrocarbons).
- Must wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Work typically follows a Monday–Friday schedule.
