Plant Accounting Manager
Location: Tulsa, OK
Direct Hire | Fully Onsite
We are seeking a Plant Accounting Manager to support the accounting and financial operations of a manufacturing facility. This is a highly visible, hands-on role responsible for cost accounting, inventory valuation, month-end close, financial reporting, and process improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong manufacturing accounting background and enjoy partnering with operations to improve financial performance and support plant leadership.
What You'll Do:
- Lead day-to-day accounting and financial operations for a manufacturing facility.
- Oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation, and inventory reconciliation activities.
- Prepare and review month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Participate in financial statement preparation and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Partner with plant leadership to identify opportunities for operational and financial improvements.
- Supervise and mentor members of the onsite finance operations team.
- Support internal and external audits and maintain strong internal controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and drive operational efficiency.
Required:
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- Manufacturing accounting experience.
- Cost accounting and inventory accounting experience.
- Experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of GAAP.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both accounting and operations teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Understanding and use of ERP systems.
- Prior experience leading or mentoring an accounting team.
- CPA or CMA designation.
- Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations.
