Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This part-time opportunity is ideal for an experienced educator specializing in serving students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. The role requires delivering direct support to K-12 students across two school sites in New Hampshire, with a focus on effective communication, specialized instructional strategies, and collaboration with support staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instructional services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in grades K-12
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to support student progress
- Travel onsite between the designated school locations as required
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school district policies and procedures
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active licensure and certification in New Hampshire specific to teaching Deaf or Hard of Hearing students
- School-based experience working with K-12 caseloads
- Ability to provide services onsite at the designated school locations between Brookline and Hollis
- Completion of district fingerprinting background check
- Availability to commit 10-12 hours per month from the start date, ASAP, through June 17, 2026
- Comfortable participating in a Zoom-based interview process
