Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated MRI Clinical Support Assistant to join a high-volume imaging team at a premier medical facility in Pittsburgh. This role is essential for ensuring the safe and efficient flow of patients through the MRI suite, supporting technologists with clinical preparation, and maintaining the highest standards of patient safety in a magnetic environment.
As a Direct Hire position, you will be a permanent employee of the organization from day one, offering long-term stability and a consistent weekend overnight schedule.

Compensation & Growth
- Starting Range: Up to $22.45/hr (Commensurate with experience, aligned with the 25th percentile of the hiring range).

Key Responsibilities
- Safety & Screening: Conduct rigorous MRI safety screenings according to established protocols to ensure the safety of all individuals entering the scan room.
- Clinical Preparation: Establish IV access for contrast administration and assist in the preparation of oral contrast under the direction of the technologist.
- Patient Positioning: Properly pad, position, and align patients and MRI coils for specific imaging protocols; assist with patient transfers to and from exam tables.
- Diagnostic Support: Monitor telemetry during exams as required and assist with daily/weekly Quality Control (QC) testing of imaging equipment.
- Operational Flow: Manage patient check-ins, documentation, and phone inquiries; provide discharge instructions and transport patients as needed.
- Environmental Maintenance: Ensure exam rooms are cleaned and prepared according to infection control procedures; report any equipment malfunctions immediately.
Mandatory RequirementsTo be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of previous healthcare experience is required.
- Specialized Skills: * Mastery of medical terminology is required.
- Recent experience in a medical or imaging office setting is required.
- IV Insertion: Demonstrated experience with IV insertion is required.
- Certifications: Current BLS or CPR certification (AHA standards) required.
- Availability: Ability to work a consistent 39-hour weekend night schedule (Fri/Sat/Sun) and participate in the holiday rotation.
