POSITION SUMMARY
The People Development Specialist (PDS)is responsible for supporting the development, and implementation of all organization development initiatives. This individual collaborates with business partners to ensure business training needs are met. They also support enterprise-wide key initiatives, objectives, and goals. The PDS also utilizes several skills to manage and facilitate functional-role training, soft skills training, and technology or project-driven training. Outside of the classroom, they collaborate with business partners to maintain curricula updated, including guides, learning aids, etc. The PDS is also responsible for handling specific business processes related to the PD Departmental functions such as Compliance Training Tracking, PD Reporting, Internal Communications, and Mentorship Program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Training and Facilitation – Provides in-classroom, virtual, on-site and blended instruction for all credit union employees, including but not limited to New Employee Orientation, Technical Training, Functional-role Training, Soft Skills Training, Refresher Training, etc. Ensure employee performs up to pre-established standards during their onboarding and training period. Observes and shares feedback with hiring managers to promote engagement and a successful post-training transition. Print and bind learning materials. Clean and prepare classrooms. Send calendar reminders for class and administration of class. Record class attendance and manage sessions using LMS. Conducts evaluations and in-branch observations to gauge knowledge transfer and discover new learning opportunities.
• Curriculum Development and Maintenance – Maintains assigned curricula. Checks curricula against standard operating procedures and best practices for accuracy. Updates training materials regularly (i.e., guides, job aids, worksheets, etc.). Meets with stakeholders and subject-matter experts to assess and discover opportunities for curriculum improvements.
• Process Ownership and Administration – Manages all aspects of PD business processes (i.e., Compliance Reporting, Mentor Program, Intranet, etc.) as assigned. Maintains positive levels of user engagement, satisfaction, and performance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education or Adult Learning or similar discipline obtained through a formal 4-year program at an accredited educational facility preferred or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 3-5 years related experience in Training and Development, or other related experience required. Strong knowledge in LMS/LXP platforms, Articulate, Captivate, Canva, or similar instructional design applications.
