Job DescriptionJob Title: Transformer Sales Specialist - Electrical PowerPosition Summary

We are seeking a driven Transformer Sales Specialist to grow revenue, build customer relationships, and support our expanding market footprint across industrial, commercial, renewable, utility, and critical power sectors. This role will be responsible for generating new business, managing customer accounts, and guiding solution design and delivery in alignment with customer needs and company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Customer & Market Development

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with electrical contractors, utilities, OEMs, data center operators, and industrial customers needing transformer solutions.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming inquiries, quotes, and requests for transformer products and services.

  • Develop and execute strategic outreach to target markets, driving lead generation and pipeline growth.

Solution Selling & Technical Support

  • Understand customer technical requirements for padmount, substation, dry-type, and custom transformer solutions.

  • Partner with engineering and product teams to align customer needs with appropriate transformer configurations, inventory availability, or customization options.

  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, product specifications, and pricing packages.

Order & Account Management

  • Manage the sales process from qualification through order placement, ensuring accuracy, customer satisfaction, and on-time delivery.

  • Maintain detailed customer records and pipelines in CRM systems.

  • Track sales performance, forecast revenue, and collaborate with internal teams on sales strategy.

Industry & Product Expertise

  • Maintain deep product knowledge of CORE’s inventory of stocked transformers and made-to-order capabilities, including padmount units (30 kVA – 11 MVA), substation transformers (500 kVA – 30 MVA), and dry-type units (10 kVA – 15 MVA). coretransformers.com+1

  • Provide industry insights to customers, helping them match specifications to project and regulatory requirements.

Customer Service & Support

  • Work with logistics and support teams to coordinate deliveries, expedite responses, and support emergency service requests.

  • Respond promptly to customer questions and provide follow-up service to drive retention.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of sales experience in industrial equipment, electrical systems, or capital goods.

  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.

  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and communicate solutions clearly.

Preferred

  • Experience selling electrical power equipment (transformers, switchgear, substation components).

  • Familiarity with medium- and high-voltage power products and application needs.

  • Experience with CRM tools and sales analytics.
