About the Role:
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will work closely with our occupational therapists to provide high-quality occupational therapy services to our residents. Your expertise will enable our residents to develop, recover, and maintain the skills necessary for daily living, while promoting independence and overall well-being. You will assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized occupational therapy programs, and collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care.
Responsibilities:

Assist occupational therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans

Provide occupational therapy interventions to residents, including exercises, activities, and devices to promote independence and functional skills

Conduct assessments, evaluations, and progress reports to track resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, physical therapists, and speech therapists, to ensure comprehensive care

Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident treatment and progress

Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to stay current with best practices and industry developments
Requirements:

Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in occupational therapy or related field preferred

1+ year of experience as a COTA, preferably in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting
