What You'll Do
We're looking for a detail-oriented Business Operations & HR Manager to join our team and help us scale. This role will focus on keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly across HR, payroll and general business operations. You'll play a key role in supporting our operations team, tracking concrete cutting resources, coordinating with customers and vendors, and keeping communication flowing across the company. In this role, which will ramp up to be 30-40 hours per week, you will enjoy wearing lots of hats to:
- Bring your 2+ years of Human Resources experience and a strong understanding of HR principles, and practices to manage core HR functions for our growing team, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, and performance management
- Apply your working knowledge of labor regulations and payroll processing experience to ensure compliance with labor laws and prevailing wage regulations and develop policies and procedures that keep the business running smoothly
- Utilize your strong communication skills and customer-first mindset to support client and vendor relationships, manage bid communications, oversee commercial insurance renewals and claims-related communications.
- Apply your attention to detail and compliance mindset to oversee safety initiatives and training, as well as manage OSHA compliance and insurance claims.
- Have an advanced proficiency in software, Microsoft Office, and project management tools along with strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records of shop equipment, tools, motor vehicle files, and jobsite compliance requirements.
- Demonstrate your operations management experience and project management knowledge to support project execution by overseeing the project management platform, training users, promoting adoption, and supporting planning or reporting
- Use a collaborative, team-oriented approach to support the marketing team on website updates, branded gear, mailings, and social media content, while maintaining alignment with company goals
- Demonstrate accountability and follow-through to manage multiple priorities independently with a proactive and resourceful mindset
