As a Registered Behavior Technician at Mark Than Words... Therapy Services, you will play a vital role in implementing behavior analysis strategies to support children with developmental needs. This position is essential in our mission to provide high-quality therapy that fosters growth and collaboration between therapists and families.
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA
- Work with clients in the clinic setting
- Collect data accurately and consistently on target behaviors and skill acquisition and record data on patient progress and behaviors during sessions
- Follow behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
- Provide direct teaching using DTT, NET, and other evidence-based practices
- Participate in ongoing training and supervision
- Communicate effectively with team members and client families
- Maintain professional boundaries and adhere to ethical guidelines
- Assist in the development of therapeutic activities that engage children effectively.
- Collaborate with therapists to modify treatment plans as needed based on data collected.
- Educate caregivers on techniques to reinforce skills at home.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and strategies for improvement.
- Support a positive and encouraging environment for children during therapy sessions.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required); Associate or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
- Active RBT certification through the BACB (required)
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or developmental delays is preferred.
- Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with families and team members.
- Ability to collect and analyze data accurately for reporting purposes.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices is beneficial.
- Compassionate approach to patient care, emphasizing collaboration with caregivers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
