Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to support a power generation organization onsite in The Woodlands, TX. This contractor will handle full-cycle recruiting, partner closely with hiring managers, and support long-term talent strategies that impact operational success.
Talent Acquisition Specialist (Power Generation)
Location: 100% Onsite - The Woodlands, TX 77380
Contract Length: 6-Month Contract (possible extension)
Pay Rate: $33.65 - $43.27 per hour (equivalent to $70K-$90K annually, DOE)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (flexibility as needed)

You will manage a variety of technical, engineering, and field-based roles, including:
- Controls Engineer
- Electrical Engineer
- Mechanical Engineer
- Software / AI Engineer
- Data Engineer
- Quality (QA/QC) Engineer
- Reliability Engineer
These roles support both blue-collar and white-collar hiring and often require industry-specific knowledge, field experience, and technical certifications.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Recruitment & Hiring Strategy
- Manage ~40 active requisitions across technical and non-technical roles.
- Lead sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer processes, and onboarding coordination.
- Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements and ideal candidate profiles.
- Support recruiting strategies and process improvements with the TA Manager.
Candidate & Hiring Manager Experience
- Build strong partnerships with hiring managers to maintain alignment.
- Provide consistent, high-touch communication with candidates.
- Coordinate assessments, background checks, drug screens, and onboarding tasks.
Pipeline & Relationship Development
- Build and maintain pipelines for engineering and field-service talent.
- Engage with trade schools, universities, and community partners.
- Attend job fairs, industry events, and recruiting activities.
ATS & Data Management
- Maintain accurate and complete ATS documentation.
- Track candidate activity and hiring data.
- Use metrics and reporting to support continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
- Power generation recruiting experience REQUIRED.
- Experience hiring both blue-collar and white-collar roles.
- Proven ability to manage ~40 concurrent requisitions.
- ATS experience required - Paycom preferred (Paycor, Paylocity, ADP Workforce Now acceptable).
- Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- Must work 100% onsite with consistent attendance.
- Must pass background check, drug screen, and required assessments.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. with a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- SHRM or HRCI certification.
- Experience building pipelines in technical or specialized industries.
- Data-driven recruiting mindset.
Pay Details: $33.65 to $43.27 per hour
