Salary Range: $77,000 - $117,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and document laser welding processes and parameters.
- Troubleshoot laser welding equipment and process issues, implementing effective solutions.
- Design, qualify, and validate laser weld fixtures and tooling.
- Conduct root cause analysis for weld defects and implement corrective actions.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) by defining weld specifications and procedures.
- Ensure all laser welding operations comply with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Collaborate with maintenance and external vendors for equipment calibration and preventative maintenance.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting industrial laser welding processes.
- Strong understanding of laser-material interaction, weld metallurgy, and common welding defects.
- Proven ability to implement and manage laser welding solutions within a manufacturing production environment.
- Proficiency in weld inspection techniques, metrology, and data-driven process control (e.g., SPC).
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with robotic integration and programming for laser welding applications.
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis for process optimization.
- Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) principles and methods for weld inspection.
- Advanced understanding of metallurgy and material science related to laser-material interaction.
